It covers examining personal cultural biases and developing cultural competence. The session helps teachers incorporate culturally relevant teaching practices into lesson planning and instruction and provides them with the tools to connect classroom content to their students' diverse cultural experiences.

This session focuses on strategies for fostering a sense of belonging and community among students. It will equip teachers with practical ways to cultivate a welcoming, supportive environment that empowers all students to succeed. The session will cover strategies for building strong relationships with students and creating opportunities for them to share their unique identities and experiences.

Strengthening School/Family  Relationships

This session focuses on strengthening school-family relationships by establishing open and responsive communication channels. It will highlight best practices for creating a welcoming, inclusive school environment that encourages family participation in their children's education. The session will emphasize the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and community through the active engagement of parents and guardians in school activities, events, and volunteer opportunities.

Instructional Teaching Methodologies and Strategies

The session focuses on differentiating between instructional models, strategies, methods, and skills. Participants will explore a range of teaching strategies and learn practical applications for implementing these strategies effectively in the classroom to engage students and support their learning. Particular emphasis will be placed on active learning techniques, formative assessment methods, and strategies for differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.

Student Enrichment Workshops

-Writing-

This student writing workshop provides an overview of the book writing journey. Throughout the workshop, students will engage in interactive exercises and discussions about the writing process and leave with a deeper understanding of the creative and practical aspects of story writing.

-Diversity-

This diversity workshop provides an interactive learning experience focused on understanding and celebrating different backgrounds and perspectives. The workshop introduces key concepts related to diversity, helping students explore their own backgrounds and how they intersect with those of their peers.
